Patti Beckham works in sales and marketing effectiveness as the senior vice president of public relations and communications for Agricultural Workers Mutual Auto Insurance. She started her life in the West Texas town of Orla, where sparse roads lie beneath wide skies, where kids make their own adventures, and where people put God first in their lives and family second.

Having raised her son as a single parent while her career took her away from the countryside and dropped her down in the big city has made her very proud. To raise him, love him, and be his mother has been her greatest achievement, and he has been the greatest gift she could have ever received. She is the author of The Orla Flash and a contributing author in The Speaker Anthology, a collection of stories that motivate and inspire others.
