About the Book

Redford and 65 other golden retriever puppies were rescued from the cruel confines of a puppy mill in the fall of 2004. Having escaped a situation that many less fortunate dogs never do, this lucky pup joined Dr. Andy Neillie and his family shortly thereafter. But Redford had a lot to learn about living in a good home with good people. And the Neillies had a lot to learn about him.

The Golden Principles outlines ten enlightening truths that the Neillies have discovered about relationships since Redford joined their family. When he met the Neillies, he understandbly couldn’t trust them. And nothing they did made him trust them any faster. From this came the first of the ten golden principles: “It doesn’t matter how much you love someone. It takes time for your love to be trusted.”

The life lessons that are developed and illustrated in this touching book will warm your heart and make you want to be the best wife, husband, son, daughter, friend, or master you could ever be.
